Here we are a week away from another fun filled trip! On Wednesday of next week we will be shooting from a helicopter with our friends from AR15 Targets and Heligunner! The Heligunner event should be exciting (as if shooting from a helicopter wouldn't be) and hopefully we will be able to share some cool pictures and videos from the event. I have been testing our Contour cameras and the picatinny mounts we have for them on our AR15's. I am hoping to have two cameras mounted to our AR's. One facing back toward the shooter and one facing down the barrel towards the target. We will also have one mounted to the side of our hearing protection for a first person shooter point of view! We will do a full review on our entire Heligunner experience after the event. In the meantime, we will post some pictures below from a recent photo op session with the great folks from Heligunner.
Next we will be moving on to Waco to the 2nd annual A Girl and A Gun Conference. This should be another great event given the fact that the first one last year was a great success even though the weather was less than perfect. Christy will be attending as a board member and working the event in whatever capacity they need her. I will be attending as "A Husband with a Girl and a Gun" and I will be their range slave doing their bidding at the range or wherever else they need me! haha I actually had a REALLY good time last year and I am definitely looking forward to helping out despite my less than perfect health right now. I may not be able to do much physical labor but I can drive a golf cart around like no one else can! A Girl and a Gun is a great organization that promotes women participating in the shooting sports and we have made some really great friends through the organization. Christy has enjoyed every moment since she has joined the group which was right after the group was founded and I am very glad that she found them!
